Ways to spend quality time with your daughter

Posted on Feb 13, 2018 in Family

Even though some days with your little daughter can seem long and tedious, you will one day wake up to realize that the years flew by too fast. So, in order not to feel nostalgic and somehow depressed, you need to get the most out of the present time and create precious memories that for sure will last a lifetime. Moreover, you need to give all your time and attention to your girl while she is still a child because she will soon start to have activities on her own and you will begin to miss the days when she was not able to do anything without you being thereabouts. Hiring a nanny is not always the best option for your child and whether you have a job or not, you still have to find some time to spend with your little girl. No matter how busy you are in a day, try to spend at least 10 minutes with her for you will never have the opportunity to come back to these days.

Make friendship bracelets and braid each other’s hair

Since friendship bracelets have been made for hundreds of years, ask your little girl to help you make some for the two of you. This way, you can spend more time together while doing something fun and interesting too. Also, since girls are obsessed with doing their hairstyle, you can propose her to braid each other’s hair. To make the things more exciting, you can use lace ribbon and twist it throughout the hair.

Pop some popcorn and watch your little girl’s favourite Disney movie

Watching your little girl’s favourite TV show or Disney movie can be very relaxing for you too because you can actually forget about your work-related tasks and de-stress your mind for a little while. Also, pop some popcorn to have something to munch on.

Ask her to help you cook a meal

Your daughter may want to help you in the kitchen even when you do not ask her to do so. By involving your little girl in some of your everyday activities will make her feel reliable and capable to do grown-up tasks. Even though you will need to pay a lot of attention to the kitchen tools she will be using, the time spent cooking or baking together will be very beneficial to your mother-daughter bond. Moreover, the time spent together will make your relationship stronger.
